At New Life, we are currently giving teen girls a second chance at life through education, skills training, and sharing the hope of Christ with them.
THE NEED
Poverty, poor education, a broken infrastructure coupled with an enormous lack of opportunity have left many Ugandan children without an education and without hope for a future. The New Life Ministry Center has recently been constructed in the heart of this impoverished region.
HOW
New Life Skills Center is a 1-year life skills training program to drop-out village girls, teaching them subjects such as Math, English, Health Science, Bible, Business, Farming God’s Way for the first term. The second term, the girls then learn a skill such as Hair Dressing or Tailoring.
Other opportunities for our girls:
Salon Internship- an unpaid 6-month internship opportunity for qualified NLSC graduates to work in a salon practicing newly acquired hairdressing skills, customer service and business skills.
Advanced Tailoring Internship- an unpaid 6-month internship opportunity for qualified NLSC graduates to learn advanced tailoring skills and designs and to practice customer service, accounting and business skills.
