In Uganda, while many have embraced Christianity, Biblical understanding is often shallow. A common saying is that “the gospel is a mile wide but only an inch deep.” Many village pastors lack formal theological education, and as a result, their congregations are vulnerable to false teachings. At Hope58, we aim to bridge this gap by equipping pastors with in-depth biblical knowledge and discipleship skills. Currently, we operate 12 Bible schools with 200 pastors in training. Our goal is to empower these pastors to confidently teach the Word of God and lead their churches with wisdom and grace.
Pastors learn to interpret scripture accurately, fostering spiritual growth in their congregations.
Our training equips pastors with essential leadership qualities to guide their communities effectively.
Equipped pastors strengthen their churches and, in turn, have a positive influence on the surrounding community.
Pastors receive continuous support, ensuring their spiritual growth and emotional well-being as they serve.
Comprehensive Biblical Training for Pastors
Hope58’s Bible Training program offers a structured curriculum that combines deep theological education, practical ministry skills, and spiritual mentorship. We work with village pastors over a 3-4 year period, meeting every two weeks to provide in-depth biblical studies. Through this program, pastors gain the tools they need to interpret and teach scripture effectively, while also growing in their leadership capabilities.

Pastors systematically study the New Testament, chapter by chapter, over 3-4 years, deepening their understanding of scripture.
Training equips pastors with leadership and pastoral care skills, empowering them to guide their congregations and meet their spiritual needs.
Every pastor is paired with an experienced church leader who offers ongoing spiritual mentorship.
We provide hands-on training in pastoral counseling, discipleship, and community outreach to help pastors serve more effectively.
Developed specifically for Uganda, this program helps students memorize key Bible stories and interpret scripture through storytelling, covering both the Old and New Testaments.
Through Hope58’s Bible Training program, pastors are being transformed, and as a result, their churches and communities are seeing incredible spiritual growth. Many of the pastors in Uganda have never had access to formal Bible education. When this ministry began, only one of the village pastors had read the New Testament in its entirety. Our program addresses this need by providing pastors with in-depth scriptural knowledge and practical leadership skills, allowing them to lead their congregations more effectively.
